They are much more helpful\u00a0in organizing your results in beneficial format and keeping our YTree updated. There are four steps to complete the process.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Note: Family Tree DNA \u00a0seems to keep slightly changing their procedure &#8211; please let us know if there is a change in the instructions below.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Before Step 1<\/strong> &#8211; First you will need to contact Family Tree DNA and let them know you desire to share your BAM file. This preparation will take a week or two.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Step 1<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"> &#8211; Obtain Raw Data link from Family Tree DNA<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/FamilyTreeDNA.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/FamilyTreeDNA.com<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Enter your Kit Number\/Username and Password. There is a link if you have forgotten your password.<\/li>\n<li>Under the &#8220;Big Y&#8217; section click the &#8220;Big Y Results&#8221; button<\/li>\n<li>Click the blue &#8220;Download Raw Data&#8221; button<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down the pop up window to the bottom &#8211; click the green &#8220;Share BAM&#8221; button<\/li>\n<li>Above the green buttons &#8211; just below the &#8220;<strong>You can share your BAM file with others, using the following link:<\/strong>&#8221; line &#8211; there will be a link in a grey bordered box<\/li>\n<li>Click the the link &#8211; which will highlight it &#8211; then type a <strong>Ctrl-C<\/strong>\u00a0(hold the &#8220;Ctrl&#8221; button then press the &#8220;C&#8221;) &#8211; this will save the link in your paste buffer for step 2<\/li>\n<li>You may now log out of\u00a0Family Tree DNA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Step 2<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"> &#8211; Order analysis from YFull<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/yfull.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/yfull.com<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Click the red &#8220;Order Now!&#8221; button<\/li>\n<li>Enter following information\n<ul>\n<li>Your Email Address<\/li>\n<li>Your Name<\/li>\n<li>Select .BAM file (click radial button)<\/li>\n<li>Select FTDNA &#8220;Big Y&#8221; (click radial button)<\/li>\n<li>Select &#8220;Link to a sharing file&#8221; (click radial button) &#8211; URL box will appear<\/li>\n<li>Click in the URL box then paste the raw data you copied on Family Tree DNA\n<ul>\n<li>To paste type a\u00a0<strong>Ctrl-V<\/strong>\u00a0(hold the &#8220;Ctrl&#8221; button then press the &#8220;V&#8221;)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #808000;\">Wait for YFull to process your data &#8211; they will contact you in several weeks<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Step 3<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"> &#8211; Pay $49 to YFull and receive a username and password for access<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow instructions given by YFull &#8211; you will be set up with an account<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Step 4<\/strong><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"> &#8211; Join the R-DF41\/CTS2501 Group on the YFull site (to connect your results to Morrison-Q)<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/yfull.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/yfull.com<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Log in with your email address and Password<\/li>\n<li>In the left menu under &#8220;Others&#8221; click the &#8220;Groups&#8221; link<\/li>\n<li>Click the &#8220;R-DF41\/CTS2501&#8221; link<\/li>\n<li>In the yellow menu bar click the &#8220;Join request&#8221; link<\/li>\n<li>Check the &#8220;I agree..&#8221; box then click the &#8220;Send&#8221; Button<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>An administrator of the group will soon accept your request.
